Genesis 17:1-22 – The Abrahamic Covenant (Part 3) is about God as He affirms His everlasting covenant with Abraham after 13 years of silence. Abraham was 99 years old when God confirms that he will have a son named Isaac and all that God promised will come true. God even provides a unique sign of the covenant, which symbolizes death to the flesh and life in the coming Messiah! The Abrahamic Covenant is an UNCONDITIONAL COVENANT
WALK BEFORE ME AND BE BLAMELESS
God Reaffirms HIS COVENANT with Abraham
God Reaffirms the Pillars of His Covenant:
1. God provides. Abram receives.
2. The Entire Land of Canaan (Israel)
3. An Everlasting Covenant
CIRCUMCISION – an Outward Sign of the Covenant
We all walk with God BY FAITH
God is making Abram into SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
