The Book of James

God is at work in us, shaping our hearts through everyday life. In the book of James, we’re learning how real faith shows up in real action—how God calls us to live with wisdom, integrity, and purpose. It’s not just about believing; it’s about living what we believe.

Join us Sunday mornings at 8:00am & 9:45am as we go verse by verse through James, discovering how faith in Jesus transforms the way we speak, serve, and walk through trials together.

Monday Nights | 6:30 PM
 

Monday Nights are currently on Summer Schedule which means we have special times and locations each Monday in Summer. Please see upcoming events below for more details. 

Jr. High makes it happen on Monday nights! Come build strong friendships and grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus, by playing games together, studying God’s Word, and discussing all that God is teaching you in small groups.

David was a flawed man—he gave in to fear, lust, pride, and even committed murder. He failed as a parent and often deceived others. Yet God called him a man after His own heart because David truly repented and kept seeking the Lord.

Join us as we dive into 2 Samuel and grow deeper in our walk with Jesus as David did.

Beach Nights
Select Mondays | 5:30 – 8:30 PM
June 23, June 30, & July 14 
 
Join us for Beach Nights at Carlsbad State Beach! We’ll meet at the church first and then walk down together. It’s going to be an awesome evening with volleyball, spikeball, s’mores, soccer, Knajabi Can Can, and time in the water. We’ll also spend time in worship and hear a devotional from God’s Word. Bring snacks to share and invite your friends!
 
Dress code: Please wear a shirt and shorts, or a one-piece swimsuit with shorts. This isn’t just a rule—it’s a way we honor God, love one another, and live as a light to those around us. It’s a practical way to live out our faith with humility, self-denial, and respect, so the focus stays on Christ and community.

If you arrive late or need to be picked up early, you can find us south of the bathrooms located at the bottom of the beach access ramp next to the Harbor Fish Café at 3179 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008.

Premium All Nighter
Friday, July 18 | 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
 
Get ready for an unforgettable 12-hour adventure packed with everything from a private Skate Park & Jumper Room and Dave & Buster’s to glow-in-the-dark Pickleball, a late-night movie on the big screen, and a video game tournament back at the church.
 
It’s nonstop action, no sleep, and all the fun you can handle. Bring your energy—and your friends—for the craziest night of the summer.

This is a sign-up only event—you must be registered to attend. Don’t wait—spots are limited and this night will fill up fast.

Whether we’re at the beach, hiking local trails, playing games at the park, or grabbing ice cream, these afternoons are all about having fun, building friendships, and making the most of summer. Bring water, sunblock, and whatever you need for the activity—and don’t forget to invite your friends!

Pizza Port & Handel’s Takeover
Monday, July 21 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM

M68 is taking over the village! We’ll kick off the evening at The Mission Church and walk together to the village for pizza, ice cream, and a laid-back time to connect and enjoy summer together. It’s a simple night of good food and even better company—open to anyone who wants to be part of it.

Bring money for your food, and invite a friend to come along. 
 
Double Peak Hike Day
Thursday, July 24 | 12:30 – 4:30 PM
 
M68 is going to the top of the world! Come out to the Double Peak Hike Day for an afternoon of fresh air, great views, and time with friends. It’s a steady climb with plenty of chances to talk, laugh, and enjoy the trail together.
 
We’ll head out from The Mission Church and drive over as a group. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and closed-toe shoes.
 
Summer Break

No youth group these nights—we’ll be at summer camp and resting after!
 
Sunday gatherings are still happening as usual.
 
Jr. High Summer Camp
Thursday, July 31 – Saturday, Aug 2 
 
Three days at San Onofre State Beach with your favorite people—surfing, s’mores, games, worship, and real time with Jesus. This is Junior High Summer Camp, and it’s everything summer should be.

Introducing Me
Monday, August 11 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM
 

We’re welcoming the newest members of M68 with something special—the “Introducing Me” slideshow. Each incoming 6th grader will be celebrated with a custom slide made by their peers, highlighting their personality, adding some fun, and making them feel right at home from day one.

It’s a night all about belonging, connection, and starting strong. Everyone in Junior High plays a part—so come ready to celebrate the future of M68.
