Children’s Ministry
Frequently Asked Questions
How will you contact me during service?
At The Mission, we want your child to feel happy and safe. If your child cries, one of our loving volunteers will immediately comfort him or her. If he or she continues to cry for more than ten minutes, we will text you. Please remember to keep your phone on vibrate during service.
How long is a service?
Services typically last 90 mins. Our volunteers are committed to providing a loving, safe, fun environment the entire length of the service.
Does The Mission Church do baby dedications?
Yes. The Parent/Baby Dedication is a special opportunity for Christian parents to publicly dedicate themselves to raise their children according to Scripture, and offer their children to the loving care and keeping of the Lord. Please contact one of our pastors for more information.
Will my child receive snack? What about allergies?
Yes. Our classrooms are completely peanut free. Snacks will be offered once your child enters the Toddler Room. Snacks consist of cheerios, goldfish crackers, and animal crackers. We also offer gluten free snacks. If your child has an allergy, that information will be printed on his or her name tag. We also provide brightly colored allergy stickers to be placed on your child’s shirt.
What curriculum does The Mission Church use?
The Mission Church uses Gospel Light Curriculum. It is an exciting curriculum that walks children through the stories and truth found Bible. In addition, every lesson includes games, coloring pages, and crafts that bring God’s Word to life.
